alchemy set 2. Puzzle 4
- XV and number dots
- Whisper lines
The brief
Any clue type throughout the set may appear only once. Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1-6 once each in every row column and 2x3 box. Cells in the same relative position within a 2x3 box cannot contain the same digit. Digits on a grey line must be between the digits in the connected circles. The 5 clue outside the grid is a sandwich and the sum must appear between the 1 and 6 in the respective row. The cell with the fortress (inequality signs pointing inwards) must be less than the orthogonally connected cells. In a dotted cage, read the clue out loud and it indicates how many of that digit are in the cage. i.e. if the clue reads 2314, that means there will be two 3s and one 4 in the cage. The 17 clue outside the grid is an XSums clue and gives the sum of the first x digits in the direction from the clue, x being the first digit seen in the respective column. Adjacent digits along a dark green line must differ by at least 4. The cells joined by the white dot has a difference of 2. The black dot has a ratio of 1:3 (one digit is triple the other).
