Ascending Sums
The brief
- Normal sudoku rules apply, i.e. each row, column and 3x3 region has to contain the digits from 1 to 9 once each.
- Ascending Sums: A clue outside the grid gives the sum of all continuously adjacent increasing digits up to (and not including) the first digit that decreases in that row or column from the direction of the clue.
For Example, the row 456123789 would have an Ascending Sum clue of 15 (=4+5+6) on the left and a clue of 9 on the right.
