Who we are

Sudoku Sleuth is this site and a YouTube channel about variant sudoku. Using the site means you accept these terms.

Puzzles belong to their setters

Every case credits its setter and links to where it was first published. The puzzles are theirs, not ours.

We host them so solvers can play them here and to go with our video solves.

Removal requests

Setters can ask us to remove a case or change how it is credited. Write to setters@sudoku-sleuth.com and we will act promptly.

Using the site

• Solve for yourself, for fun. The site is for personal, non-commercial use.
• Please do not scrape the site or republish its puzzles. Link to the case, or to the setter’s own page.
• Signed out, your saved progress stays in your browser, and clearing your browsing data removes it. Signed in, it is kept with your account.

Your account

• An account is optional. You sign in with Google, and one account is for one person.
• You can delete your account at any time on your account page. It goes at once, with everything kept with it.
• We may close an account that is used to abuse the site or other people.

Memberships

• Memberships are paid on Patreon or Ko-fi, under their terms. Billing, cancelling and refunds are handled there.
• Link your membership to your account to get the benefits of your rank. Your account page lists them; some are marked as coming soon until they are ready.
• Access follows your membership. If a payment fails or you cancel, your rank stays for 7 days after the paid period ends, then lapses.
• We may change what a rank includes as the site grows, and will say so on the membership pages first.
• We may also give a rank as a gift. A gifted rank carries the same benefits but never appears in video credits.

Video credits

If you turn video credits on, choose a name that is yours to use and fit to show on a family-friendly channel. We may leave out a name that is not. Credits in published videos cannot be changed.

Links to other sites

YouTube, Discord, Patreon and Ko-fi have their own terms. Our Discord links go to the Cracking the Cryptic community server, which is theirs, not ours.

No warranty

We make the site with care, but we provide it as it is. A puzzle may have a mistake, a page may be down, and saved progress can be lost.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using the site. Nothing here limits rights you have by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it.
